Default Code Po420

Now it seems like i'm getting a misfire. It still runs fantistic but getting a misfire at a red light or stop sign.. Go figure !!! I'm thinking a bad coil somewhere...

If you were to have the codes checked and they gave you a specific cyl that is misfiring , just switch the coil with another cyl .one of 2 things should happen , if the misfire moves to the new cyl location the coil has a problem. If no change it could be the spark plug, injector, or engine mechanical problem.

If you now switch plugs with a different cyl if the misfire moves there , plug problem.
If still no change, we're down to valve/spring, or wiring to the coil /injector or both. Last but not least is the PCM.

Ok, I replaced all the coils and it runs as smooth as it came out of the showroom...
It cost me 36 bucks for 8 and that seemed like a good buy so why not replace them all.

I hope you purchased a quality set of coils. If not , hang on to the old ones you might need them.
