Default Ev f-150

We've seen some renderings. And in this article I make some assumptions/conclusions of what the 2022 EV F-150 might be and look like. Are truck owners ready to embrace an electrified F-150? https://www.torquenews.com/9539/elec...endering-shows

I think the future is with electric trucks. If Ford comes out with a nice EV Truck with great specs that construction workers can use, why not? I hope the price will be comparable with the Cybertruck. But honestly, may be it will be great if Ford first tries a Hybrid F-150. What do you guys think?

No full EV for me, not in a heavy tow/haul application.
Buses, Semis, are showing up and planned, but all EV road traffic is going to have an affect on green capabilities which the industry will have problems at some point with supply/demands unless infrastructure is greatly enhanced...We installed a swim spa at our residence and breaking into the next level power consumption tear has doubled our monthly rates. The power grids and equipment in our state, Id rather trust the dino suppliers.

If they did a hydrogen/electric, maybe, a hybrid, but all EV,, not for me. I couldn't even visit distant relatives without a stop/charge both directions. Heavy loads, possibly twice each way.. Mileage costs may be less with electric, but so is time en route with fuel..

I have to second Hayapower's response.
Some states are a little further advanced to accommodate electric vehicle demands, but a lot needs to be done to handle this demand.

If the grid goes down for whatever reason , where do full EV 's stand ?
The IC engine is a long way off from extinction !!

Price will be the sticky point for sure. EVs generally are expensive, but some are eligible for tax credits, so that helps.

Agreed. I've tried to calm some of the "old school" consumer worries about the IC going away. You're right. It's a long, long way off before that happens.
