F-150 oil level rod
Hello ... well ... a nuisance
The problem is this ...
My truck does not mark the oil level with the oil level rod, stain only with the residue, seems to be a little short.
The van was purchased with a ESG-642 engine. I have not seen F-150 with an oil level rod like mine.
The oil level rod that has the engine is 80cm, with handle and 75 cm without. I introduced a wire to see if the route was blocked, and no, the wire reaches the bottom of the crankcase. It does have oil.
My father cut the tip of the tube, thinking it could reach the crankcase and is the same, the oil level rod end, but not reaching the crankcase.
The question is: Is this the oil level rod that must be?
Or have a problem bigger?
Some time the van suffered the same problem, but filled with oil, was exceeded and the engine was changed by the ESG.
I leave attached images.
The truck model is 98.
Sorry for my English, I am Mexican.
