F-150 Spark Plug Issue
I have read so many stories about how expensive changing the plugs on my 2007 5.4 Triton I was almost ready to sell it. Instead I took a chance. I only have 73K miles and took my truck for a tune up and to change all the plugs to the local Ford dealer where I live now which is Troy, Alabama.
I ended up VERY PLEASED. None broke and my total bill out the door was $324.00 I know it is higher than the days we all changed our own plugs and "Remember" Points, LOL. But still very pleased versus the stories I read where it was costing 1k or more. Ken *** Ford is where I took it and they have a mechanic there that knows how to get the plugs out without them coming apart. Hope this helps someone put there.

Is ford redesigning this problem or do they continue to make and use these plugs?
Well i finally bit the bullet. I feel i have been rapped by Ford and my local dealership (Mooresville Ford). Flat rate on spark plug change was $495.00 then 6 of them broke so it cost me extra 1/2 hr labor per plug. When i left it cost me a total of $793.15 to change 8 plugs.
