I forgot about the gearing

RE: I forgot about the gearing
If you have a code reader, you should be able to erase the codes with it. The model that I have does, and I picked it up at Advanced Auto Parts for about 35$.
As far as the gearing goes, I would try to contact a repair shop, dealer, or Ford directly.
You would be amazed at the amount of knowledge some of the people at a repair shop have about certain brands and models of vehicles. A lot of these people are someone who turned their hobby into a career, and they know their favorite brands and models inside and out.
Dealers should have books that call out every OEM part of your truck. They may have that info for you.
If neither of those work, try contacting Ford directly. The following is a link to their contact info on the Ford website: http://www.ford.com/en/support/conta...&source=botnav
Good luck, and I hope this helps.
