impossible fuel filter??
My question is not with the lines, i got that part figured out. should you be able to get to the filter without removeing the front fuel tank? the taink covers the filter and i cant even get it out of the clip that it's in. is this normal or do i have some sort of a extra capacity longer tank or somthing?? also the line too dosn't fit between the filter and the end of the line, so do i have the wrong tool?
thanks

RE: impossible fuel filter??
I've seen a few times where someone has installed the wrong filter and had a heck of a time getting it out. The old style uses plastic clips to secure the line to the filter. The necks are shorter, but they still clip into the newer style hose. Since the neck is shorter, you have no room to slide the tool in. Each time, it's been a gasoline bath while I hack-sawed slowly at the necks to make room for the release tool. That could be your trouble as far as the tool goes.
I've never seen a filter in such a location as to require removal of the fuel tank. What year and body style is it?
