Default Moonroof issues 16 F150 EXPENSIVE PROBLEM

I have a 2016 F150 Platinum, 1.5 years old, garage kept, have only used the moonroof a handful of times.

Noticed a small rattle while going over bumps, upon opening the roof it became jammed, luckily I was able to close it back and get a seal.

I took it to my local Ford dealer for service, was told that the rapier would be $1,900.00!!!!

I then contacted Ford, opened a case, was informed today that they have reviewed my case and regret to inform me that they are not able to provide financial assistance to address the issue.

I purchased a PREMIUM FORD VEHICLE. This is not acceptable. I should have gone with a Denali.

Has any else had this type of issue?

Did they explain why the cost to repair was so large?

They said because there was a lot of labor involved.

That might be true, but when there is a large estimate with a lot of labor involved , there is no shame in asking ,just what has to be done that consumes so much time?
Just throwing a figure and not explaining what is involved would not be appreciated by anyone , ,have you considered getting a second opinion?

Being a 2016, why would it not be covered by the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty? Are you over the 36,000 miles?

Sounds like the Mercedes guy who was informed by the dealership that it would cost over 5K to repair his sunroof. Ended up being a little stone that got inside the track and was removed by a local mechanic for a few dollars.
