Post Need Help

I have a 1999 ford f150 4.2l truck and I am going to replace the spark plugs, spark plug wires and ignition coil, what else should I replace one I'm in there replacing these parts? my truck is 248k strong, its running rough so I thought id replace those stated parts and I also hear a loud pop under my driver side when I accelerate. I am also going to eventually have to replace my catalytic converters direct fit bolt on eventually but for the time being I am replacing those state parts but I need to know what else I can replace while I am replacing those other parts.

Suggest you make sure to check the spark plug gaps before installing and use dielectric grease on both ends of the wires when installing.

Different engines may use the same plugs with a different gap, best to check them. Don't forget the PCV valve!

I did a quick search on this converter and it doesn't look like Ford makes it anymore. I would suggest trying Summit on this one.

You would go to Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing and then enter your make/model information. There are other aftermarket companies as well but I have bought from Summit before and I know they are good.
