Unhappy need help diagnosing "steam iron-click"sound

Hello, this is my first post, please be patient as i really dont know what i'm doing?
I have a 2015 ford f150 lariat XL flex fuel 6cyl. 2wd it has 140k miles on it
I started my truck up, (cold start) today and have a new noise....
(previously codes thrown were a small exhaust leak, and a emissions evap leak that we're working on fixing) but , this new noise is not one i recognize.
The best I can describe it is similar to a "steam iron sound", building up pressure and then you depress button and a burst of steam. or a train stopping at the depot. No visible steam though. Along with that is a loud click that shimmy's engine slightly in engine bay. this reoccuring in about 15 to 20 seconds.
Has anyone had this happen before? and I need to know if it can be driven more than 75 miles tomorrow or should i get rental?

Trying to eliminate some remote possibilities.
1. are any of the heater or air conditioning controls requesting defrost or air conditioning on ?
2.Where does the sound sound loudest?
3. Can you open the hood, start the engine and watch from driver's side door and maybe see hear something that might safely help locate area ?
4. Until you know what and where not a good idea to drive at all !
5. Do you smell anything like GASOLINE fumes/odor ?
