Hi guys, first post here..
So June 13th I bought my first new truck, a 2019 f150 xlt 3.5L v6, it was a left over, so I have had the truck for 2 months, and just scheduled my first oil change for next week... although yesterday I seemed to have had a catastrophic failure.. I lost all oil pressure, and the dealership told me there was no oil in the motor at all, and they dont know where it went!! Anyone have any ideas?? Or, what my options may be to just get myself into a different brand new truck? Is it considered to be a lemon?
Havent seen that issue before, your still way under your powertrain warranty so Ford will make it whole, only way out for them would be to prove a oil change was screwed up.
If memory serves a lemon is a new vehicle with the same failure that is not fixed after three attempted repairs.
It is not considered a lemon. What is puzzling me is did you ever check your oil since you bought it??? I am wondering if that will be covered since the owner has some basic responsibilities as to maintaining oil level. Would have been valuable if you verified their claim when the failure first occured.
