Overdrive button not working

Default Overdrive button not working

2003 f150 supercrew 4x4.The overdrive does not disengauge.How do you fix the wire to switch?

Welcome to the site..

Did you check the fuse in the Central Junction Fuse box? #29/5amp.. You can also pop the cap on the shift lever and remove the TCS/OD switch and check for power distribution there. Sometimes the OD switch wire/s will wear through or break at the base of the shift lever. Could be the switch itself.. If the wires are worn, most times they can be repaired, or a replacement shifter will come with the TCS harness as part of the assembly. With the switch removed, or the column covers removed, the OD can be cycled ON/Off with a test lead to prove out the system. First check for power distribution...
