98 Expedition Radio not working, only on/off button works!

98 Expedition Radio not working, only on/off button works!
I bought this 98 Expedition yesterday, runs great, looks great, etc, but the radio wont work.
It will turn on and off, and the volume works. But all the other buttons wont work. (seek, scan, am/fm, etc.) and the display wont light up. it also has a 6 disk CD changer.
The weird thing is that the radio controls in the back work for it. but I can use the CD play and see what station it's on. Any suggestions?
