Well your not going to believe what I have done…I bought a front air dam that resembles the 97’ up Lightning’s front end, and a steel rear roll pan. I also have a set of adjustable leaf spring lowering brackets to level out the truck. I bought a new front grille and headlight housings in plain black and they are getting painted the same color as the rest of the truck. I am also going to go ahead and replace all the lights lenses with clear lenses, and in the back I am putting in a set of the fancy “euro” lights. The paint is done on the truck and it looks fantastic…photos to come soon. The motor is going back down to the engine shop to get a roller cam installed that will accept a stand-alone Edelbrock EFI system. And I am having a Performance Transmission in Norfolk Nebraska build me a C6 so I can get away from the paltry 4R70W EAOD that’s in it now. More to come.

I have included a couple of pix off the net of the front air damn I bought.

Glad to hear your getting close to being on the road. Mine is suppose to be done in the next week so I am getting pretty excited. It's about time to drop the motor in and get ready for some cruising. Try the following link for the bumper cover I got.

I will have a ton of PIX coming inthe next 2-3 weeks. Talk to you all soon.

YES well you got me DROOLING !!!!!!, I have a question I dont understand your train of thought on going with a CARB. for the 10.000 miles. My thoughts are the those first 10,000 are very important to the life of the motor, an with a Carb dumping all that excess fuel in the motor washing down the cylinders , an diluting the motor oil adding extra wear to the lower end.. Please understand I'am not knocking your project -- just trying to understand your game plan?? Dont get me wrong I love hearing the sound of a big ole 4-barrel opening up going down the road!!!!! my fondest memory is once as a young man I had a 70 fast back Stang, Man she was sweet, 302, 4V auto on the floor, 6 inch lift on the rear, mickey thompsons all the way round ,chrome wheels an a few other goodies .. any way I was on my way to my sweetie's house one early sunday morning , there was allmost no other traffic saw like 2 cars going the other direction an had passted one car like 10 minutes ago, sun had just came up a few minutes before ,,, Well I decided to open her up , ( radio playing radar love LOL) , well I blew past this billboard an it was all over there was the MAN !!!In a passing thought I said well I got a head start theres a exit ramp about 1/4 mile up the road !!!! an the I said naw do the rite thing Jimmy, So I shut her down an pulled off the side of the road put on the 4-ways ,no sooner I looked back in my mirror ..I could here Him coming sirens blowing lites flashing an that big ole Mopar 440, Carter thermoquad opening up, makes that WOOOOOO sound ( MAN YOU COULD JUST ABOUT STICK YOUR FIST DOWN THE SECONDARYS ON THOSE GIRLS) well he blew rite past me, I sat there thinking HUH, no sooner then that he stomped on the brakes did a 180 rite there an came flying back towards me, well needless to say he was a tad upset, ( I guess maybe he thought I was going to run an he would have got to play for a bit ) Asked me how fast did I think I was going -- Told him I really didnt know-- Said he clocked me at 127MPH, well he only wrote me a ticket for doing 65 in a 55,,, LOL Back in the Day

In my 2wd 95' F-150 with the 351 windsor i got clocked going 85 in a 60 but here is the thing my speedometer only said like 75...that state trooper had to have added some mph...and he said he clock my buddy at 75 and he was directly in front of my? I talked to a guy who was pulled over by the same trooper and he had it sat on cruise control at 64 the cop pulled him over and wrote 72 on his ticket...The cop wasn't nice either he treated us like we had drugs or something. Oh well a $200 deferal got me out of that jam. The old truck was runnin good too it got up there no problem. Oh yea and if I made it sound like i was drag racing i wasn't we were on the way to a High School Sectional game. I would have beat him anyway if i wanted to.He was driving a Dodge 2500 with the 360 magnum 2wd with duals. I bet a Chevy 1500 4wd 350 with duals as well. I bet him by a long shot before i let off it and really got into trouble.
