Flatlander here. We're going to the mountains. Our lodging contact has scared my wife that we'll have to chain up, even w/ a 4x4. We have cables for all 4 tires. I've cabled up our minivan many times. Is there anything I should know about cabling up the tires on our F-150 4x4. When we bought the car, when we asked, they said putting chains on, would void the warranty.

So, for you folks with experience, anything particular to know about putting cables on?
