Question Rusted Cab Mount Help..

Hi,

Would it be possible to fix this rusted out front cab mount with a might welder & sheet metal?
This truck is just a beater truck by I don't want it falling apart on me going down the road.

You can "fix" almost anything if you have the right materials and know -how. With this job you have your work cut out for you. The cab mount looks OK, it's the pieces of the cab that is going to prove challenging. Just how far back do you have to go to hit real metal?

Will this replace the affected area? If so, would it be best to peel back the carpet and then check the floor pan for rot/rust, then dive into the cab support area? Does this part go under the floor pan?

As you know , you have to have some decent metal to anchor the repair to. Best to uncover as much as possible so you know what you have to work with. Don't be surprised if the floor under the mat is gone too.
