Default Sudden deceleration f150

I have a 2012 F150 that has been experiencing a sudden deceleration that appears to be the transmission shifting from 4th to 2nd or 1st. Also the speedometer has been going completely out. Both these problems are occasional. I took it to the dealer who claimed Ford knew about this and had a fix. That was 3 weeks ago. Well, the problem has returned and yesterday it was like hitting a brick wall. My back may never be the same. I ain't young. Now I see there has been a class action lawsuit concerning this problem. Anyone know about this?

Could we get some more info,
What was the vehicle doing at the time the problem appeared ?
Did it always happen at the same speed and conditions?

At this point have no idea of what may be causing the problem, but the more info available the greater the chances of associating it with known fixes.

if you have speed sensor codes then there is a recall for the leadframe in the transmission for sudden downshifts

Default Sudden deceleration f150

Mine started with a thud between 1 & 2nd gear. Then all the sudden it was like the pcm wasn't communicating with tranny by not shifting or downshifting correctly. Then stuck in 3rd or 5th gear and then bam I was in 6th gear and it went to 1st and locked up my rear end going 50 mph. Not fun! It was the lead frame. Luckily mine was covered under the extended lead frame coverage under original recall. My truck 2012 f150 6.2. With 143k miles. My advice is to see where your vehicle was manufactured and see if its covered under the extended coverage. My dealership tried to say it would take 4-5 months to get the part. I took upon my self to find the part at another dealership and advised them to go get it. Needless to say my truck was fixed in two days not months!
