Default Thinking about getting a ford

Hey all, i'll be graduating from college this year and i'll probably be in the market for a new truck by then. The truck id be looking at is an 2005 or newer F-150 Crew Cab King Ranch Edition 4x4 with the 6 1/2ft bed, but id settle for the shorter bed. I'd need the 5.4 V8 for the torque/pulling power. My question is how reliable are these new fords as far as drivetrain??? Do they handle/pull well??? Any complaints about sluggish acceleration or lack of power??? Im not to familiar with the new fords so any input of ANY kind would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!!

if you want something to pull stuff around you should look into the super duty but if your really want an f-150 they will get the job done, the king ranches are really spendy if the cost matters to you.

I dont need that much pull, just prefer the extra power of the 5.4 against the 4.6, so the F-150 would suffice. I agree king ranches are spendy, but there are good discounts out there right now and with the F-150 scheduled to redesign for 2009, im hopeing the discounts will keep getting more generous in the future......
