Default What is this and where does it go?

First pic is a hose coming from the area near the oil fill cap. Noticed it wasn't connected to anything. What's it supposed to be attached to? 2nd pic. Is something I found just laying loose under the area where that unconnected hose is. Thanks very much. 1991 f150 5.8. 4wd

It looks like it goes to the breather filter in the air cleaner the other end I believe went to the oil fill cap or top of a valve cover.. All part of the positive crankcase ventilation system.

So do I attach these two tubes/hoses together? And then attach the end with the 90 degree angle to ....? (The one end if the fat hose is already attached near/under the oil fill cap. Thanks.
