'02 F250 SD front hub

'02 F250 SD front hub

For some reason I just noticed this, 'stub' on the front hub,,,,, ???? Is this a connection point for auto-locking-hubs [ Vacuum connector ] Since I have manual hubs, I am guessing it is capped off and can be ignored.
