Hello,

I have a 1989 5.8L in my ‘77 Bronco. Since installation years ago, I’ve not had the code test port wired correctly and therefore cannot pull codes.

Does anyone have pin out numbers from the EEC to the various spots on the test plug that I could use to sort this out?

What will you be using to read the codes?

 

I have an older code reader (Actron Code Scanner) but have also used a test light on other rigs.

 

For the diagnostic plug, do you have the following color wires near it?
TAN / LTGRN
WHITE / BLK STRIPE
YELLOW /LT GRN coming from TFI module
Maybe our Moderator can come up with a wiring diagram for the 89.

I will try to go thru some of my library and see if I can find what you might need..
