1989 F250 Error Code 67
I have a 1989 F250 with 351W and E4OD transmission. I'm getting an error code 67. Also, my OD off light stays on (solid, not flashing) and won't change. I have changed my neutral safety switch with no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks!

The reason we had you check with the plug off the sw on the trans was to eliminate a shorted part in the trans.
Now we know there is a short to ground with the wiring in the column or on down to the switch on the trans.

With older vehicles you can utilize a test light, but must be very careful with newer vehicles due to the extensive use of electronics and a heavy load from a test light can produce addl problems.
Using a test light you can determine which are power wires and which might be ground. What we want to verify is there should be no ground to the indicator lamp when in the on position..
When you activate the switch the light gets a ground and should tell you OD OFF.
