Default 1994 F-250 5.0 Auto EEC-IV

I have a new to me 1994 F-250 with 5.0L and Auto transmission. I have searched through 5 different companies with no luck looking for a refurbished EEC, and they wont sell me one that is not specific to the 1994 F-250. My question is: if i can find another 1992-1996 ford F-150, F-250 or bronco with the same engine and transmission set up would that EEC work for my application?

Can we ask what is the reason you need a new ECM?

Something you may or may not be aware,if there is a problem with a component that has affected the ECM, just replacing it can ruin a replacement ECM..

Leaking capacitors have caused corrosion throughout the board.

There are places that will repair modules, have you considered that?

I have never used this place, but you might check it out.
