1997 power stroke won't start.
I have a 1997 Ford F350 7.3 turbodiesel, it has stage 2 injectors Hydra tuning trans tune, banks Intercooler.
I cannot get my truck to start ,I replaced the injector cups , new harnesses, new injector O rings, I've gone through all my fuses. I replaced the high pressure oil pump, with a t500 it would not start I put the stock pump back in and now it will not start both pumps were torqued to 90. All relays are good. Starter is good. The only thing I have not replaced is the fuel pump. It will turn over but not fire. I am not getting fuel, and I'm only getting 38 pounds of pressure to the heads. My stock pump was good it would run the truck, but I had to replace it because it would cut out on the top end. If anyone has had a similar issue or might know what the problem is please let me know.

Your in tank fuel pump should deliver at least 40-80 lbs press to the heads. Make sure the pressure regulator valve on the fuel filter housing in the V is not stuck open preventing necessary pressure to the heads by returning too much fuel back to the tank.
Did you make sure the oil reservoir for the HPOP was full before attempting to start the engine? You may need to crank quite a bit to get the air out of the lines to the HPOP .Cranking speed good ?

Yes the resivor is full, I have fuel in the bowl, and my cranking speed is enough to fire. And the fuel bowl is not open. I am thinking of putting a airdog in just to completely eliminate my fuel bowl, and mechanical pump. Not sure if it will Eliminate the problem but should help either way.

I had his problem, and the issue was the fitting on the hose to the HPOP. If there is any pressure loss from the hose fittings, it won't start. I replaced the hoses with new ones. It started right up.
