I recently purchased a 2001 F250 PS Diesel with 64000 miles on it. I have noticed a "clunk" sound when i am breaking about to a stop. Its not a series of clunks....just one...right before complete stop. I am new to the Diesel world....and i am not even close to being mechanically inclined....sorry. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jimmy-D

 

just a guess...if you have 4WD,meb'be a worn universal.Have you checked your rotors and pads?I've had self adjuster mechanisms break on me too.
