Default 2002 F250 Hazards/Turn Signals

When putting on the hazards, they may flash a couple of times the stop. Then the other day the passenger side turn signal would flash a few times then stay on(the driverside turn signal works fine)the arrow stays on and the actual bulb does also. Where is the relay located?

thanks

I believe there is an electronic flasher (5 terminals) inside the dash to the right of the steering column. Sometimes they are mounted with another relay or two..
If you remove the curved cover under the steering col (4 twist lock screws) you should be able to see the flasher . It is only about 1 in square , about 11/2 in long , black.
What you might consider would be to purchase a new flasher from an auto supply store, . Now you will know what you are looking for. Unplug the old one and plug in the replacement..
What is puzzling is the left side seems to work OK, and the right does not. . This situation does not necessarily condemn the flasher.
Those years and models had a problem with the windshield leaking and messing up the GEM (generic electronic module) that produced some crazy results that defied explanation. That module is located under the dash on the driver's side. Sometimes we were able to wash out the moisture with an electronic spray cleaner.. If you look under the dash on the driver's side above the parking brake assy and see a lot of rust , that could be the cause of why one side works and the other doesn't.

I had some free time after work today, went and bought EP27 (flasher/signal relay). I went through where the ashtray would've been, two screws pulled the piece off. It was a tight fit for my arm but it's done and Working.

There's a spot right beside it,empty where another relay would go,what might that be?

Some vehicles have the wiring harness built to accommodate addl features the purchaser may want. Just which feature that particular plug may be for is not known without checking a diagram. Not to worry nothing important is missing, just addl wiring for something the buyer did not want..
