2002 F250 power steering line leak
Hello folks,
My 2002 F250, 4x4, 5.7 (without Hydro Boost) has developed a power steering fluid leak. The leak is due to rust and is on the angled portion of the metal pressure line as it comes out of the pump (and goes into the gearbox). Removing the pressure line from the pump looks very difficult and in the entire world of Youtube I could only find 1 video slightly related (a PS pump removal in conjunction with a timing chain fix) and no videos referencing only the line removal. So my question is does anyone have any information on removing and replacing that pressure line without ripping apart the front-end of the engine compartment?
Thanks, Greg

Before you do anything , I would suggest that you locate a replacement line and some of them use "O" rings. Once you have the line you can start removing the fittings. I know we would rather remove the line then go search and compare so you only make one trip.
Depending on where you go, Dealer, aftermarket where ever you can get the new line
they should be able to tell you what parts you need. A dealer will usually require the VIN to get the correct parts, but you do it once.
Aftermarket may be able to supply the correct parts once too, but it depends on how far they are and what kind of time you have.
The job is a stinker and you may need to remove some items to gain access.
Many times we do remove items to gain easier access and the time is well spent.
