2012 E-250 Econoline Key Fob Problems
Greetings Ya'll,
Yesterday, I went to get in to my Van, & pressed the unlock button on the "fob", & nothing happened. I then pressed the "Horn" button, & nothing happened. I then used the key, to unlock the van, & stopped at the hardware store, & bought a new battery for the "fob" >>> "Energizer md# 2032 3V" <<<.
Replacing the battery, has done nothing, & Yes, I placed the battery in the "fob" correctly.
The "Lock/Unlock" buttons inside the Van work correctly, & the Horn also works correctly.
My questions are:
Does this "fob" have to be Re-programed", & if so, could someone tell me the procedure? I've "scoured the Owners Manual" for that data, & could not find anything.
Also,...The Owners Manual, does not specifically state what fuse is for the "Key Fob Receiver", & I'm thinking that the "Receiver" may actually be included in another "Module/Control",.... Does anyone have that Data?

Greetings Haya!
That' another issue, that I need to take care of, for a back up, but No Sir, the previous owner had lost their second key/fob.
But, I have outstanding news. I kept digging for data, & finally worded my search differently, on Th' Net, and I found a video showing how to "Reprogram the FOB after a FOB Battery replacement".
1.) Get in vehicle, & unlock the doors
2.) Turn ignition on/off 8 times, & end with key position being "On".
3.)Door locks should cycle
4.)Press any button on the remote.
5.)Turn ignition off & remove key
6.) Test remote
Hallelu YAH!! It worked!!
