I am new to this forum so I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section.

Regardless, I am trying to install a remote start option on my 2012 F250 with the 6.2L. I have looked up some YouTube videos on how to do this and it seems fairly straightforward. All of these videos assume that you already have 2 keys for the truck. My issue is that I only have one key for the truck because I bought it used. Does anyone know if you can install the remote start option with just one key? Or do you have to have 2 keys to do so?

Any type of guidance/help would be appreciated!

What brand of remote start?
During the programming, all available keys are programmed at that time. I'd think if only one key, it would still complete the programming. If adding keys later, all the keys would need to be available to accept a rolling code.
