wiring diagram interior dome lights 2022 F-350 Super Duty 4x4 XLT Supercrew
Hi, can anyone help me with a wiring diagram that shows what the terminals are for on the connector that goes to the rear dome light? It has about 5 terminals on it. The light is a single LED from what it seems, with a logic board inside the assembly. It's in the middle of the rear cab, and it's the only light in the rear cab. It doesn't work and I want to know how to test the wiring and voltages at the connector, so I know whether I have to order a new light assembly or not. The wiring harness that goes to it is really short, just barely enough room to be able to hold it while taking it off the light assembly. Not a great design would be an understatement. rear dome light
Until a diagram shows up, you did check all the fuses, yes/no ?
I looked at the fuse box chart for the fuses in the cab and there isn't any fuse with a label for interior lights. I will check all the fuses anyway and I'll check which fuse (if any) will make the front interior light go off, since those lights in front work as normal.
I had a better look and did some checking. The light has 6 terminals on it. Only 3 wires come to the connector that hook up to the light. There is power present there. I couldn't see any power switching with doors opening and closing so I don't know if the signal is a duty cycle or something more complicated. I can get the light to come on occasionally after pressing the buttons once in a while and I sometimes get a dim flash from it when doors are opened or the interior lights are switched on and off. I think that the body control module actually is involved here and that there isn't a fuse for interior lights specifically. Nonetheless, I did check all the fuses at the interior fuse box behind panel in the front on the passenger side, and all were good. I'm thinking that the light assembly is faulty, but if anyone has any help please advise. Of the 6 dealerships in the city where I live, not one of them has this part in stock. Part Number: FL3Z-13776-BA and the price is $75 Canadian.
