3.73 rear ends, non dulley

Default 3.73 rear ends, non dulley

I pull a lot with my truck and noticed the new trucks with the diesel motors do not come with the 3.73. Any one have the answer?

3.73 is 6.2 optioned.

At a guess, with the increased number and wide range of gears potentials, much increased power/torque, lower ratios aren’t needed. Plus, Select Shift etc, best power and torque for conditions is fairly easily taylored by the driver.. In fact, the 6.7 is torque limited out of the gate...
