Default '85 Front I Beam Identification

Hi folks,

Can you guys help me identify an axle?

We're talking about an '85 F350 2WD front axle I beam. The one on the upper right is the one out of my truck. A lady in a Jeep was kind enough to adjust it for me (court date is tomorrow, BTW) anyhow, I got a used one shipped in from a junkyard (the one on lower left). It's obviously wrong. My question is, what axle is that? It's close (not really), but no cigar. I don't want to make the same mistake twice. Did they send the wrong year? Is the difference a GVW thing? What went wrong? This is a work truck and I can't afford to buy a new $50K truck (I wish I could!). I have another truck, a '85 International that I'm building out for me to use, but it's not going to be ready until spring. I have a lube job this week, too. UGH. Anyhow, thanks all for any help!

I agree it is the incorrect part.
Your I beam is for a vehicle that had King Pins.
The one they sent to you is for a later year vehicle that had Ball Joints.

You will need to specify your vehicle has King pins.
