Need Help
I have a 2001 F250 7.3 liter Super Duty with 293K on it. It started throwing transmission codes and shifting wierd. I brought it to a transmission repair shop and they said I had an electrical issue and to take it to a repair shop. The repair shop replaced the harness for the transmission and that did not help anything. Next was to replace the PCM. The truck was manufactured for California, so it has special emmisions and only so many of them were made. The mechanic couldn't locate a used one, so he suggested sending it to a place where they remanuafacture them. After wait for 4-5 weeks, I recieved a call saying the remanufactured PCM did not work. The mechanic said it is a special PCM only manufactured for one year specifically for sale in California. Code is DPC-452 NMC3. I don't know where to go from here. Thanks,

There are folks on this forum that reside in California. They should be able to recommend a place there that would be able to come up with the Cal. required part.

What were the codes displayed?
OD light flashing?
Shifting weird, how so?

Trans was a reman at some point/mileage ?
Being codes are being stored, engine runs fine (?) Id be suspect of another issue other than PCM, more so, if that trans was OE and high mileage as you stated...
