Default AM Radio static when brakes applied ('99 F350)

Okay, I give up!!!! I attempted to search the site but kept getting the "I'm sorry, you're an idiot. . ." message So my apologies in advance if this is duplicated.

Yes, some still listen to AM radio (regular/frequent traffic reports, weather, talk shows, et cetera).

It's been getting worse, but ONLY when the AM radio is on, if I depress the brakes, the static it produces is so overwhelming I turn off the radio. To see if this occurred with the emergency flashers on (thinking it illuminates the same bulb/s) it does not occur. 'Not sure if that helps anyone, but thought I'd add it here.

Anyone with a clue where to start???

Thanks for any input.
