Default HELP, 2001 F350 Front Brakes

I just started havinga problem with my truck pulling to the right really bad. I pulled over to check it out and the right front brake caliper was extremely hot. I took it to one of the local shops that happened to be open on Saturday afternoon (not the one I would have preferred) and of course they told me that the caliper was locking up. The thing that I have an issue with is that they said that they are unable to turn the rotor. Not because it is scored too badly butbecause it's too big for their machine. They also said that I will still have the "pulling" unless I have the right caliper, both rotors, pads and brake lines replaced. Is this really neccessory? I can understand replacing the caliper and the pads and turningor replacing onerotor but this sounds like a little much. Am I just being a tight-wad?

Well, I took it to a shop that I trust on Tuesday and had the brakes inspected. I told them everything that happened. This shop has a reputation for being honest and not trying to sell you everything under the sun just to jack up the bottom line. They told me that my rotors were fine, the pads were fine and the pistons in the calipers were sliding in and out just fine. The sliders in the calipers were just a little dry and had some minor corrosion. All they needed to do was to clean andlube them so the pads wouldn't bind up. Theshop I took it to on Saturday wanted to charge me $925. I got it taken care of for $44.

Another item to keep your eye on is your rubber brake line leading to the caliper (they have a tendency to collapse internally, causing the line to become a check valve, clamping your brakes).
