Default Bad fuel in F-250 diesel...not starting again, somemore!

We put some bad diesel in our 2006 F-250! Starting with not wanting to start, then blowing black smoke and engine dying. We re-placed all fuel filters and cleaned water in fuel. Started again, ran rough, then fine but...next day had trouble starting, then after rough start ran fine on our property but today, won't start again! Help!

Usually when a diesel blows black smoke it is either over fueling or starving for air.
Might be a good idea to make sure the fuel filter is clean with diesel fuel only, no water,
and check the air intake system for an obstruction (dirty air filter).

Any other ideas? Now we are getting some, just a bit of white smoke when we try to start the truck...and it won't start at all!

We now think it might be the fuel pump? Does anyone know where this is located and how hard is it to pull? We don't have any techs close by...we live in Nicaragua!

Dirty fuel meaning?? And how much?

Water, or debris/trash in the fuel? Still in the fuel tank?

Was it out of fuel cans or pumped in? Was the water in fuel lamp on? Water would be your enemy and tends to kill injectors since it can (in volume) make it past the filters. When polluted fuel in tanked, the best thing is to evacuate the tank either by dropping it, or at the very least pulling out the fuel tank with a vacuum pump.

If you know the fuel quality is bad, the best practice is to 'never' run it though the sytem or run the engine if it can at all be helped.

The fuel pump/module is located on the left frame rail just under the driver area. If you replaced 'all' the fuel filter and drained the water trap/sensor, that is the fuel pump assy..
