Broken exhaust manifold 1994 250 460
I have the 460 manifold leak, the clicking sound and I plan on buying a new one and installing it myself. I need advice on how to approach it, I wanna do the best job I can do and not pay 700 bucks to have someone else do it.
Thank you
Thank you

Welcome to the site..
Not a hard task
If your removing the right exhaust manifold, remove the spark plug wires and heat shield..
Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube if on left exhaust manifold. Wires as well.
Disconnect exhaust manifolds to header pipe inlet flange nuts.
Remove oil level stick tube from left exhaust manifold .
Remove all attaching bolts leaving a couple outer most loose in place.. If they're frozen, or turn very hard, be careful not to over stress or snap any bolts,, spray them literally with a penetrant and 'rock' them back'n forth a little at a time respraying the lube and repeating. Same with the pipe flange nuts..
Install
Clean all mating surfaces of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head of any carbon build up, and rust . As well as clean the mounting flange of exhaust manifolds and inlet pipes.
Position the exhaust manifold on/against the cylinder head. Install the bolts/washers, starting at fourth bolt hole from front of each exhaust manifold . Tighten bolts to 38-48 ft-lb, working from the center of exhaust manifold out to both ends.
Inlet pipes to exhaust manifolds . Install nuts and tighten to 25-36 ft-lb.
Install spark plug heat shield and spark plug wires, EGR tube etc as above..
