Nice plugs...

Top and bottom plug on the right has no ground electrode, top 3 on the left look somewhat new and the next to the bottom on the right looks new. The others look like they were in for longer than 10,000 miles. Basically it looks like to me, the shop just threw in a set of plugs they had laying around and didn't change the hard ones. Do you know for sure what make the plugs were that they supposedly replaced?

UCS, I totally agree. I am positive that they are all the plugs I took to them to put in. I did not trust them to put in good plugs. But now I think I messed that up myself, I got the wrong plugs. But they did a ****ty job of installing them. I had been scared off by all kinds of rumors of the old plugs breaking off. Never going to let anyone do this work for me again.
I need to take my trailer out for a pull and see how much better it will do now that it is right. Maybe I dont need to sell it.
We shall see.
Thanks again for your help

Know what you mean on how work gets done. That's why when I have to take any of my vehicles to get work done on them for the lack of tools and such (can only buy so much), I always inconspicuously mark the part(s) to be replaced. Have only caught the Dealerships not doing the work they charged for. Always ask for all of your old parts and make sure that it's always on your work order to return the old parts. The only parts they don't have to return to you are ones replaced under warranty.

Hope you buggy runs well...

Just goes to show me again that if I want it done right, i have to do it myself.
But its done, running great. Better than it has since I took it to the shop of ill quality. I feel that I did the right thing by putting in the motorcraft plugs, and since they are the redesign, they will do great. What a pain in the butt it is working on that motor. I am 6'2" 230 and had to get up and sit under the hood to get 7&8 out. But its done, done right and I think I won't have to worry about it. Did my 5 mile test drive and no CEL, I think we are good.
Hanky, Your right. do it once, do it right. Totally agree.
Thanks for all the help!!

Any time I see a mechanic sitting in the engine bay I feel for them but I also know that they are probably doing things right, or at least trying their best. I would be willing to bet that the difficulty of that job is the reason why it wasn't done correctly which is a real shame. I am happy to hear that your problem has been resolved!
