Default Common light switch for old F-250 and F-600?

I need some advice from someone who knows about old ford trucks. I have a 1969 F-600. the headlights occasionally blink, go out and come back on. When it happens none of the dash lights or clearance lights seem to be affected. Just the Headlights and it doesn't seem to matter if they are dimmed or on bright. Anyway, I thought I better start by replacing the light switch on the dash, but the local parts dealer says the truck is so old he doesn't have any parts listing for the F-600. However he does have parts listing for a 1969 F-250. He thinks the light switch would be the same. Would anybody know whether or not they are the same? Thanks.

Those headlite switches have a built in circuit breaker that becomes erratic with age.
The better thing to do would be to remove the headlite switch unplug the plug and take the old switch in with you to make the comparison. That way you are pretty sure to get the right one.
