Ford F-250 & Ford F-350The heavier duty full sized trucks from Ford, offering bigger, more powerful engines and drivetrains for the abuse they may go through in the workplace.
Alright, so I have a 1993 F-250 with a 460. The other day it was 107 and I had the truck idling while I loaded some things in the bed. All of the sudden I started hearing pops and sputters like and old lawn mower and smoke started pouring out from under the hood and filling the cab from the vents, I shut off the truck and popped the hood and found that their was green coolant sprayed all over. I have since tried to find where it can from but I can’t seem to find anything. Had anybody had this happen before? I’m pretty green when it comes to mechanics so any help would be appreciated. I have attached a photo of when it happened for reference.
I never seen coolant look so concentrated like that. Almost looks like green spray paint. A slightly wider pic showing the whole engine compartment might help.
A burst hose or a bad hose connection? You need to pressure test the system to see if it holds pressure while looking for leaks.
Quoting you "I’m pretty green". That's a good one.
I do not think this thread is legit. The upper hose looks suspicious. Whatever the substance is, goes against gravity. The hose is green on the top and untouched on the bottom. Very strange indeed.
