Coolant leak
Started out coolant leak somewhere above control arm passenger side. Engine got hot (206°f) due to lack of water. Pulled over and added water to reservoir and it immediately poured out from same location ( center/ passenger side) now everytime I put coolant into reservoir its pours out within minutes . did i crack something when i added Water to reservoir or did my water pump go out?
We have no idea what exact vehicle/ engine you are talking about. I doubt your addition of water caused that because the engine was needing water in the first place. It should be easy to find that type of leak. These can cause a bad leak as you describe. Ruptured hose, loose hose clamp, leaky water pump, cracked block or a freeze plug problem. You could pressure test the cooling system, if it will hold long enough for you to slide under to see.
Then it should be very easy for you to see where the leak is.
The leak seems to be coming from behind the fan clutch I think. It doesn't leak very much when the truck is running. But it still over heats. I've removed the inner cooler radiator. And am Going to remove the fan shroud in the morning . I was told that I could reverse thread the clutch to remove the fan and access the water pump seal behind it. Does what I described in my earlier posts sound like it could be the water pump seal? And if so is the process I'm taking (as far as removal of components ) correct to access the water pump seal?
Yes, a good possibility it could be the water pump. They can leak out the weep hole on the pump's bottom or the front shaft seal itself. If the pump is bad, I would also change out the fan clutch. I always the clutch when replacing a water pump.. Many times, the clutch can have a slight wobble and can ruin a water pump in no time and be the real cause of your pumps failure..

While you are in there, consider replacing the thermostat and serpentine belt. If your vehicle is approaching around 100,000 miles , good time to replace the tensioner assy.
Any one of these parts will require a considerable amount of time to replace alone, it might cost some $$$ to do this now, but nothing compared to if one of them lets go on the road.
