Default Dana or 10.5 Rear end

OK This is probably an easy one but I am confused. My operator's manual lists both the dana and a 10.5" rear end as possibilities.

How do I tell which I have?

What does 10.5 refer to?
VIN
1FTSF30F1XED21331

I ran the vin against a decoder but the type of rear end was not mentioned.

THank you.

The DANA 80 can be identified by its straight axle tubes, 10 bolt asymmetrical cover, and a "80" cast into the housing. The Ford 10.5 (10.5" ring gear) will have a 12 bolt diff cover. Count the diff cover bolts for the easiest ID. Your axle code should also be listed on your door jam ID build sticker.

Axle code is "D 1"

I'll count the # of bolts this evening.
Thank you.

If you go to Google and just type in "Ford Axle Codes" , it will give you all the info you seek.
