driver side mirror and wiring ?
when I bought my '01 f350 truck it had stock towing mirrors and with the canopy on it has always been difficult to see what's right next to me on the passenger side. So I found some towing mirrors from a company called Yitmar (or something like that) that I liked and swapped them out.
The new mirrors have blinkers and for those cold winter days defrosters.
The passenger side was a breeze, wires went through the wiring sleeve and I was able to tap into a blinker wire by the fuse box, defrost will go to a switch on the access panel, no big, once I take the time to figure out which hot line to tap into.
My problem is the driver side. When trying to feed wires through the sleeve I am hitting the plate the ebrake mounts too. Can't get the wire to bend up or down, nor can I feel the wire poking through with my finger.
Was wondering if anyone else has done something similar and were they able to do it without messing with the ebrake?
Any help, ideas welcome.
John
