engine dies

I have a 1994 f250 2 wheel drive with duel tanks when I switch from one tank to the other engine dies instantly. Any help?

does it start on both tanks is it only one tank that it does it on i have a 93 f250 2wd with dual tanks all so switch may be bad

Engine doesn't start on rear tank only front tank.

It doesn't sound like a bad switch. If the switch were bad then it just wouldnt switch tanks. Maybe there is a bad fuel pump??
