I had local parts store check battery and systems ,said ok. but bat seems to get low and starts hard if at all. and it shuts down all electrical as if bat was disconnected.

 

How are the ground connections at the battery AND on the frame/body?

Many times folks at the different parts supply places don't always know the correct way to operate their equipment and can give misleading information. That's where a second opinion many times comes in handy, if possible!
