Default First winter with a desiel

I’m moving to a cold climate and would like to know what to expect for my 2016 F260 power stroke.
Do I plug it in? What about fuel additive? The dealer said I don’t need to do either. It doesn’t sound right from what I’ve read.

Weather for this week 20’s during the day and single digits at night. I hear it can get below zero in January

A block heater makes for a happy truck. Warms the oil and assists in easy starting.
I think the operator's manual talks about cold weather considerations.
I have the 7.3 diesel and plug it in at 35F. The truck loves it.

Also , don't forget in winter a different grade of motor oil is recommended, I believe that will also make a difference in cold weather starting.
