Ford Roadside Assistance Bent My Frame, NO HELP FROM FORD!
I purchased a new 2016 F-250 in December, had a low pressure fuel pump issue. Ford Roadside ASSistance towed the vehicle (on 5/8), and when their towing contractor did this they bent my frame(see pic of tow). I have new career now, arguing with Ford. As of today (5/31) I still have no rental/loaner relief. I just keep getting passed from one division to another. At this point I am relying on my insurance, as both Ford's Roadside ASSistance insurance and the tow company have denied my claim. I have been arguing with various Ford reps for weeks now. So much so that I possess a log of phone calls that is 6 pages long.
How did they bend my frame you ask? Well the tow driver did not have a large enough hook for the tow hooks on the truck. Thus, he decided to only use the drivers hook. Then, he chained down the hitch, and did not cross the chains. After this, he decided to crank down the PTO winch on the recovery truck further than the suspension would travel in the front of my truck. This all put an extreme asymmetrical load on the frame, bending everything on the truck including, but not limited to:
-Front sub frame
-steering components
-A/C condenser
-Inter-cooler
-Cab (those grab handles on the A pillar used to be symmetrical)
-bed
-trailer hitch
-tow hook
-both bumpers
-main frame
Once again 3 weeks into this and no relief from any of the players. I have just now had my insurance company send someone out, but do not have approval to even put the truck on a frame alignment machine as I write this. I bought this truck to do some serious work. If you like down time the F-250 and Ford are for you!
Attached are the pictures of Ford's contractor picking up the truck, as I am chasing him out of our facility. He did not give me a tow ticket, and I noticed the suspension was maxed out! I don't think that rear tire is supposed to be off the flat bed either. Also, they have managed to bend the receiver hitch 1.5"-2" to the passenger side.... that's a 19k class V hitch.
