Default Hesitation in rear tank

Hey,
Im new to this forum but I need help with my problem. I have a 1995 ford f250 4x4 5.8 351w with an automatic and dual gas tanks. I bought the truck as a utility bed and took the bed off and put a regular bed on. while I had bed off I replaced both gas tanks and fuel pumps. after I got it on the road I filled up both tanks and I ran it on the front tank first and it road nice and smooth. But when I put it on the rear tank and go to take off it bogs down and barely moves . So I switched it to front tank with my foot still on the gas and instantly the truck takes off like a bat out of hell. Has any one else had this problem where it runs fine on the front tank but hesitates on the rear tank. I thought it might be fuel pump but its brand new. Please help me thank you.

After you confirm the connections supplying power and ground to the rear tank pump, it is possible the pump is defective. The better thing to do is rent a fuel pump pressure gauge that connects to the schrader valve on the fuel rail on the driver's side of the engine and confirm the pressure . Just compare it to the front pump pressure.

Hi, hanky I will check to see if everything is connected right the ground may be the problem because I had problems with grounds in the truck before I will try it this weekend and let you know if it worked or not. thanks
