does anyone know if there are any problems with the 03 6.0 diesel? I heard they had brain box problems. or should i just stick with trying to find the 7.3 diesel please help..... thanks

 

There are no known pcm concerns with the 6.0. Most problems occur due to aftermarket upgrades. The 6.0 is not an engine you want to modify. Earliest concerns deal with wire chafes but recalls have taken care of most of that. All in all, a low mileage 7.3 would probably be a better bet though. The newer 6.0 has dealt with many of the earlier problems but unless you are still covered under powertrain warranty you may run into a few big bills due to some high pressure oil concerns that seem pop up occasionally.
