I have a 1989 f250 4x4 with a lot of misc. issues, but love this truck. It is not a daily driver as I just got a 2016 super duty. My question ..... Should I restore this truck or just bail out? I am very old school and would like to go back to a carburetor, mechanical fuel pump etc. What are your thoughts ?

beautiful bodystyle....why change it at all.

the problems with dumping a computer fi system is other systems are interlinked. is the trans electronically controlled? are the gauges run by computers? depending on the build, you could be changing out the trans and instrument cluster also. FI is so much better imo and easy to diag and repair.

Thanks for the reply primem. Just not that good fixing the new electronic systems. Prefer to keep it simple like the days I was running Highboys.
