Had to use an extractor to remove the long alternator flange bolt on my ‘96 F-250 460 FI

The bolt head is trashed.



Anyone have a spare ?


This is a 3/8” flanged shoulder bolt, measuring 5 1/2” long w #14 threads.

Your best bet is to call your local dealership parts dept and verify they have it
This is considered a dealership item and most auto supply stores won't have it. ..

Unfortunately, this is an OBSOLETE PART.

Justin, my trusted parts professional at Bondy's Ford informed me that he is not able to locate a replacement in Ford's system.

My professional at 'Fastener Service' informed me that he can order one, but they would have to purchase a lot of them to get it.

so, we'll see if someone can hook me up...

odd-size parts are just not easy to find.

 

Don't forget our friends at the salvage yard, they have a way of saving the day, lol.
